Dutch Kills residents demand rezoning

Some residents of the Queens neighborhood of Dutch Kills say the city is needlessly delaying a proposed rezoning. Critics say the city is taking too long to complete an environmental impact statement that began late last year. In the meantime, at least 11 high-rise hotels have begun as-of-right construction. Under the proposed rezoning, big hotels would not be allowed in most parts of the neighborhood.
