David Rockefeller Jr. sold a Park Avenue condominium for $1.7 million, city property records showed.
The buyer, Nicholas Livingston Bruen, also comes from a prominent family. Bruen descends from an old Connecticut family that held substantial real estate in the tri-state area around a century ago. Bruen closed on the 1,235 square foot unit at 77 Park Avenue on Feb. 4, on behalf of a trust in his name.
Rockefeller, 66, is the great-grandson of oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller, and director of the wealth management firm Rockefeller and Co. He was not immediately available to comment.
Bruen declined to comment.
