Upper West Side cafe closing

Cafe La Fortuna will close after drawing the likes of John Lennon during three decades of business on the Upper West Side. A landlord who kept the rent reasonable died a few years ago, leading to a new landlord who is more than doubling the rent. Patrons say Yoko Ono sat in the back garden after Lennon was killed. The owners recently gave Ono the table that Lennon sat at in the summer.
