Bruce Ratner, the developer of Brooklyn’s Atlantic Yards megaproject, doesn’t plan on living too close to his huge development. Ratner has paid $6.96 million for a five-story, 6,408 square foot brownstone at 128 East 62nd Street. Ratner also made headlines today for getting hit with a $5 billion lawsuit filed by Brooklyn activist Clive Campbell, who is suing Ratner, Atlantic Yards investor Jay-Z and Barclays bank, which bought the naming rights to the project’s basketball arena, for slave reparations. Barclays has been accused of having historical ties to the slave trade, which it denies.
