Cornell plans York Ave. medical tower

Cornell University’s Weill Medical College has filed a permit application with the city for a 20-story tower at 1299 York Avenue, near 69th Street. In late 2006, Cornell announced plans for a $650 million, 350,000-square-foot biomedical research center at the location. Nearby, the medical college opened a new 13-story ambulatory care center in January 2007.
