Former Goldman exec buys East Side townhouse

Thomas Montag, formerly the co-head of securities trading at Goldman Sachs, reportedly bought a six-story townhouse at 127 East 73rd Street designed by Stanford White in 1903. Montag reportedly paid less than the $38 million listing price. The six-bedroom townhouse has a basketball court, a big media room, a steam bath and a climate-controlled wine cellar.
