The developers of the $1.2-billion, 2,200-unit apartment complex at the Domino Sugar plant in Williamsburg say they weren’t dismayed by the Landmarks Preservation Commission’s preliminary rejection of their plans. The LPC sent the plans back for revision on Tuesday, saying that CPC Resources’ modern, five-story glass addition to the central refinery was too big and incompatible for the landmarked factory. “It’s been a building that’s been banged around a bit and they want it to reflect that, which I appreciate,” CPC President Michael Lappin said.
