Brooklyn Bridge Park hits another snag

The long-delayed 85-acre Brooklyn Bridge Park has run into more difficulties, as the state Department of Environmental Conservation has raised concerns about how the East River waters will be calmed for water sports and a marina. That could lead to more delays if the DEC doesn’t issue permits and the park must be redesigned. While the park’s budget is $150 million, the total price is estimated at $300 million, not counting a redesign.
