A proposal to keep Soho’s Prince Street pedestrian-only on summer Sundays has left some residents worried about congestion spilling over onto other streets. The Department of Transportation proposed a ban of cars on Prince Street, between Lafayette and Broadway, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on summer Sundays. The DOT says that on Sunday afternoons, the street is clogged with 4,000 pedestrians per hour and 200 cars.
