The owner of the Queens Mall says that on Friday he’ll be doing his part to help turn around the ailing economy by handing out $500 bills. Damon Hemmerdinger, owner of The Shops at Atlas Park in Glendale, and his “Atlas Solution” representatives will be dressed as Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam as they give away McKinleys to randomly selected shoppers. TheKbuzz, the marketing firm behind the campaign, says it has given away 50,000 “I support the economy” stickers around Queens. “This is about helping to inspire confidence in our economic future, which could greatly impact our country,” Hemmerdinger said in a press release. The campaign plans to give out $1 to $1000 bills until government rebate checks are mailed out in late April. TRD
