Diners have been making headlines for closing lately, but one greasy spoon will actually be turning its friars back on again soon. Once a hangout for Frank Sinatra, the space-age Market Diner in Hell’s Kitchen will reopen in June for the first time since its 2006 closing. The diner, at West 43rd Street and 11th Avenue, is one of few in Manhattan with its own customer parking. The buildings new operators, the Tsinias family also own the Cosmic Diner on West 52nd Street and Eighth Avenue. They said the eatery will retain its 1950s-style exterior, but will feature a more modern interior as well as an updated menu with some non-traditional items.
