The Port Authority may gain control over the Moynihan Station project, said Gov. David Paterson today. Paterson expressed his frustration at the troubled project but sympathized with the Dolan family, who own Madison Square Garden. Paterson could soon put the project in the hands of Christopher Ward, who is expected to be appointed the Port Authority’s executive director. Sen. Chuck Schumer, who has been pushing the switch since March, released a statement stating his support for Paterson’s decision.
