Condo sales slowing 

The sale of condos is slowing around metropolitan New York and one developer blames the media. The president of RAL Cos., Robert Levine, said the press has created “an atmosphere of fear without basis.” A broker said buyers are making “embarrassingly lowball offers. The more times they come in to view the property, the lower the offers seem to get.” Developers that refuse to be flexible on prices are facing stalemates with buyers, said the broker, who added, “It’s better to take a little off the price now, than a lot off the price later and keep moving your inventory.”
