Harlem Park tower shrinking

An East Harlem tower that will house a new Major League Baseball TV network is shrinking. Vornado Realty Trust, which planned to begin construction in April, has reduced the height of Harlem Park by a third and is renegotiating MLB’s lease. The new plan is for a 14-story building at 125th Street and Park Avenue. Vornado reportedly had to reduce the size of the $435 million building after it struggled to sign other tenants to the building. The firm successfully fought to exceed a 290-foot height restriction for what was to be Harlem’s first major office tower in decades.
