Chelsea residents oppose hotel-condo plans

Chelsea residents are trying to fight plans for a 20-story hotel-condo on 15th Street,  between Fifth and Sixth avenues. The nearby Xavier High School sold its air rights to the developer, Acheson Doyle Partners, and the community board has already approved the deal, so the opposition could be mobilizing too late. The neighborhood has already been flustered by a Karl Fischer-designed hotel two blocks away at 52-54 West 13th Street.
