Queens building blast probed

A big gas explosion at a 90-unit apartment building at 147-25 Sanford Avenue in Flushing on Friday is under investigation. Nearly half of the apartments were vacated. Con Ed had just installed six gas lines. Some tenants have blamed the owners, Alwall Construction Corp., for negligence. Gas had been turned off at the building since a fire on June 11.
