Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn’s Cobble Hill neighborhood will sell two buildings as it tries to avoid bankruptcy. The hospital will close its obstetrics and gynecology departments. Over the past year, three other hospital properties sold for $33.4 million. Now the original hospital, a big red-brick structure at 97 Amity Street, will be sold. Across the street, the Polhemus building, a former medical school, is also being sold. The Clarett Group’s condo project at a former hospital property at 340 Court Street was featured in The Real Deal’s June issue.
