The music magazine Spin signed a 10-year lease at 408 Broadway, between Canal and Walker streets, leaving its old office at 215 Lexington Avenue and 33rd Street behind. Spin will occupy 14,300 square feet, the entire fourth floor of the building. The deal, first reported by the New York Post, was arranged by CB Richard Ellis. Spin is the building’s first new tenant since Vanick Properties bought the five-story loft building in February for $29 million. Vanick upgraded the lobby, bathrooms and air-conditioning. The building has 10,000 square feet of retail space available for lease. The Real Deal looked at where media companies are moving to in its April issue. TRD
