1515 Broadway to get facelift 

SL Green plans a $160 million renovation of its 54-story tower at 1515 Broadway, which it bought in 2002 for $480 million. A 42-foot tall vertical extension will be added to the lower floors’ protruding glass curtain wall, where MTV’s studio and the Minskoff Theater’s mezzanine lobby are. Viacom occupies 95 percent of the tower’s office space, or 1.5 million square feet.
