Fourth Avenue condo hit with stop-work order

The Karl Fischer-designed condo in progress at 267 Sixth
at Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn,
has been hit with a stop-work order for problems with what the Department of Buildings describes on its Web site as “underpinning” and “shoring,” which are used in the foundation of the building. The building will be 12 stories
and will have 107 units, according to the city Department of Buildings.
It will also have a gym and ground-floor
retail. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
The Real Deal looked at residential developments on Fourth Avenue in
its November issue.
