Since mid-September, the number of resales has been falling in
most neighborhoods, according to Streeteasy.com. Sales have dropped in
Park Slope, Carnegie Hill, Tribeca, and Chelsea, and sales in Harlem
have fallen by more than half so far this year, according to the data.
The dip in activity
indicates that either people are waiting out the market before buying
or selling, or some apartments might just be languishing on the market.
