Department of Buildings Commissioner Robert LiMandri announced yesterday that the buildings department is developing a citywide safety campaign to urge construction workers to use their harnesses and lifelines at all times on job sites. The campaign will include print, radio and television advertisements in English and Spanish. This year, four workers have died in construction site falls that the department said could have been prevented with harnesses or lifelines. Last month, the city hosted a crane safety conference.
