Brokers this morning were quick to deny rumors that they are planning to close.
Corcoran Group CEO Pam Liebman told the New York Observer that the
brokerage is “the strongest real estate group in New York,” despite New York Social Diary-reported rumors
that the group would close, with its biggest producers moving to Brown
Harris Stevens. High-end Madison Avenue residential brokerage Edward
Lee Cave denied that it will close, though it does plan to change its
corporate structure. The Post reported that high-end broker Alice Mason will close her Madison Avenue office, the firm’s only office, but that she and her brokers will continue to work out of their homes.
