Construction starts on the rise this year

Because of the half dozen $1
billion-plus projects that started construction this year, the total
value of construction starts in the city rose 2 percent to $32.9
billion, according to a report by McGraw-Hill Construction.
Construction starts for next year are expected to fall 19 percent to
$26.7 billion, the report said.
