Consumer goods, investment firms take full floors in Midtown

Consumer goods company Li & Fung Group just leased a full floor at 1372 Broadway, at 38th Street. The rent for the 36,000-square-foot space was not disclosed, but asking rents in the building are around $48 per square foot, according to CoStar. At Tower 49, 12 East 49th Street between Fifth and Madison avenues, investment firm Broadpoint Securities Group signed a 10-year lease for the 16,000-square-foot 31st floor. The firm already has 41,000 square feet at One Penn Plaza, and will use the Tower 49 space to house the bank’s executive management and investment banking team.
