Development team brings green to Tribeca

Designers and developers Joel Assouline and Vibeke Lichten have incorporated green elements into their first New York City project, a six-unit condominium complex called Tribeca Townhomes. The husband and wife team discussed the project’s green features, including solar panels that provide water for the building, with NY1’s Tara Lynn Wagner. The building also includes sustainable wood floors, some motion-sensitive lighting, and main switches that turn off all lights at one time. Assouline and Lichten decided to come to New York City after 9/11, wanting to build in a city that everyone else seemed to be leaving. [NY1]
