New York Yankee player CC Sabathia recently bought a $15 million mansion in Alpine, N.J., and now Yankee pitcher A.J. Burnett is also moving there. Burnett is renting a five-bedroom, six-bath home in the town for $32,000 a month. The 6,000-square-foot home has a pool and a gated entrance. According to the Post, the Yankees’ love of Alpine, N.J. began when left fielder Johnny Damon moved there. Broker Adam Modlin sold Damon’s 2,400-square-foot condo at One Beacon Court for $8 million in 2007 so Damon could move to Alpine, and Damon’s wife Michelle recommended the town to Sabathia’s wife.
