Openings and closings: Voguert open, Cafe Cello temporarily closed

Butcher Dickson’s Farmstand Meats has signed a 15-year lease for 1,500 square feet at Chelsea Market, at 75 Ninth Avenue, according to a press release. French clothing retailer L.T.J. Arthur has signed a lease for 400 square feet at 329 Bleecker Street, and the store is expected to open in the spring, according to a press release from the Lansco Corporation. Corner Cafe & Bakery opened this week on the Upper West Side, at 2328 Broadway Near 83rd Street. Douglas Hannant is opening a store in The Plaza. Hudson Terrace, at 621 West 46th Street, will open on May 5. Voguert, a frozen yogurt place, has opened inside the Church’s Fried Chicken food court on Eighth Avenue between 44th and 45th streets. The Green Room Cafe opened last week on Lexington Avenue and 45th Street. A Smoothie King opened recently on 41st Street between Lexington and Third avenues. Crisp will open Monday on 40th Street between Sixth Avenue and Broadway. Kyochon, a Korean fried chicken restaurant, is opening at the corner of 32nd Street and Fifth Avenue. Thai restaurant Lovely Day in Nolita plans to open by early May. Free People is now open on Spring Street in Soho. National, a cafe that will soon include a restaurant, has opened at 6 Rivington Street. Cure, at 131 East Seventh Street, opened last week in the East Village. Federal Cafe has opened inside the Hotel Reserve on Maiden Lane.

In Brooklyn, the New Amsterdam Market is hoping to take over the archway space under the Manhattan Bridge in Dumbo. A garage is becoming a restaurant at 269 Baltic Street in Cobble Hill. Gourmet market Brooklyn Fare opened this week at 200 Schermerhorn Street. L & P’s Wine & Liquor is opening soon at 633 Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg. Trout will reopen Friday at 100-102 Smith Street in Carroll Gardens.

Cafe Cello, on 46th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, has been closed temporarily by the Department of Health. Salon Top A Nails, currently on Avenue A between Ninth and 10th streets, will be moving down Avenue A to the spot formerly occupied by dress shop Blue. Cadeau Maternity is closing at 254 Elizabeth Street, between Prince and Houston streets. Tiny Living, at 125 East 7th Street, at Avenue A, will most likely close at the end of the month. In Brooklyn, Gowanus club Casbar has been temporarily closed for incidents of prohibited sexual activity. TRD
