Fulton Stall Market was slated to open today at South Street Seaport, along South Street between Fulton and Beekman streets. Ward 3, serving cocktails and international comfort food, will replace ODT at 111 Reade Street. Le Souk plans to reopen its 47 Avenue B location, at East 4th Street. Veloce Pizzeria opens Monday at 103 First Avenue, south of 7th Street. An American bistro called Jo’s is slated to open next week at 264 Elizabeth Street, near Houston Street. A new cupcake truck is rolling into Herald Square. Bare Escentuals is open at 44 West 34th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues. There is a new burger place, Mother Burger, between 49th and 50th streets and Eighth and Ninth avenues. Contemporary and modern art gallery Hauser & Wirth, which has locations in London and Zurich, will open at 32 East 69th Street in September. Malin + Goetz has opened a new location on the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and 82nd Street. In Brooklyn, Gino Cammarata has closed ice cream shop Oro Verde Gelati in Bensonhurst to open a small plates restaurant and wine bar on Fourth Avenue at 99th Street. Beauty Bar opens a new location in Bushwick next Friday at 921 Broadway near Melrose Street. In Greenpoint, Lokal, a restaurant next to McCarren Park, has added a takeout window. Marais USA was slated to hold a one-day pop-up sale today at 55 Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint. In the Hamptons, Mezzaluna AMG at 231 Main Street in Amagansett is scheduled to open in mid-June. Blue Sky Restaurant and Lounge was set to open last night at 63 Main Street in Sag Harbor.
Black Betty, a bar and music venue at 366 Metropolitan Avenue at Havemeyer Street in Williamsburg, will close in two weeks. Flight 001, a luggage and travel accessories chain, is closing its newest New York City store on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope. Fish and Crustaceans, a seafood shop at 901 Fulton Street in Fort Greene, has closed. Hanafin’s, a cafe on Broadway between 82nd and 83rd streets, is closed. Madison Avenue stationer Mrs. John L. Strong is closing after 80 years in business. TRD
