Openings and closings: Milk Bar opens, Vynl closes

69 Gansevoort, a new restaurant with a vroof deck, is opening at 69 Gansevoort Street between Horatio and Greenwich streets. Sources believe it will open around mid-September. Underground taco spot Los Feliz is opening this Friday at 109 Ludlow Street between Rivington and Delancey streets. The folks behind the Time Out award-winning No. 7 sandwich shop in Fort Greene are opening a new spot, No. 7 Sub, in the Ace Hotel at 20 West 29th Street near Broadway. Orchard Street will soon welcome Blue Elm, a fusion restaurant near Houston Street. The former banker-turned-restaurant owner said he plans to start serving Sept. 17.

Olive Gourmet grocery store just signed a 25-year lease at 1630 East 15th Street in the Midwood section of Brooklyn. In Prospect Heights, Milk Bar, a cafe and coffee spot, has just opened at 620 Vanderbilt Avenue on the corner of Prospect Place.

Vynl, a restaurant and lounge at 1491 Second Avenue on the corner of 78th Street, has closed. According to reports, it will reopen in a month as a Mexican restaurant. The space will retain the same ownership.
