Openings and closings: Corsino opens, Robicelli’s Gourmet Market closes

Numero 28 Pizzeria Romana has opened a second location at 196 Spring Street in Soho, and The Limited’s Soho pop-up shop is staying put until December. Women’s clothing retailer DeJaneiro will relocate from Park Place to 110 Church Street in Tribeca. Taco and margarita joint Pulqueria is slated to open at 9 Doyers Street in Tribeca. Sarabeth’s restaurant is slated to open at 339 Greenwich Street. Corsino has opened at 637 Hudson Street in the West Village. Qi Restaurant has opened at 31 West 14th Street in the West Village. Scottish restaurant Highlands was set to open its doors today at 150 West 10th Street. Mark restaurant has opened at 33 St. Marks Place near Second Avenue. Long-shuttered Japanese bakery Panya is almost ready to reopen in the old Around the Clock space at 10 Stuyvesant Street in the East Village. The owners of the popular Cupcake Stop food truck are slated to open a permanent shop in the East Village.

Construction on Patty & Bun is coming along on 8th Street near University Place.

Berry Bistro will soon reopen as Desi Roti at 424 East 14th Street. Brunch spot Morimoto on 16th Street and 10th Avenue will branch out and open a chain of casual airport eateries called Skewers, while a new location of Burritoville is coming to Seventh Avenue between 13th and 14th streets and Bread & Butter gourmet café will be opening at 315 Park Avenue South in the Gramercy area.

Juliet Supper has arrived at 539 West 21st Street.

A second location of Lucky’s has opened at 264 West 23rd Street and Lan Sheng and Mangia Organics are both officially open on 39th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues.

Turkish restaurant Philly Slim’s Has 789 Ninth Avenue between 52nd and 53rd streets, according to a press release. Halloween pop-up nightclub and performance theater Purgatorio opened this past weekend for a two-week run in Times Square. French men’s shop Zilli will open on the fourth floor of 595 Madison Avenue between 57th and 58th streets.

Uptown, El Café opened its doors at 1230 Fifth Avenue between 104th and 105th streets. Another Manhattan location of discount retailer TJ Maxx will open on the Upper West Side on Columbus Avenue between 97th and 100th streets.

Food Palace is opening at 4451 and 4455 Broadway, between 192nd Street and Fairview Avenue. Book Culture will take over the old Morningside Bookshop on Broadway at 114th Street.

In Brooklyn, Andrew Tarlow and Mark Firth of Marlow and Son’s will reopen their Fort Greene restaurant with the new name Roman’s. The owners of Robicelli’s Gourmet Market in Bay Ridge will close the shop so they can focus on expanding a national brand. Bar Celona has opened at 104 South 4th Street near Berry Street in South Williamsburg. Mediterranean-themed restaurant Lighthouse is slated to open at 145 Borinquen Place in Williamsburg. Golden Om Yoga studio in Bedford Stuyvesant will be closing its doors Oct. 31.

In Queens, there is a lot of activity in Long Island City. A Cuban restaurant may open at 4729 Vernon Boulevard. Another new restaurant is coming to the new 10-17 Jackson Avenue development. A burger joint will arrive in the old Tomato and Wasabi location on Jackson Avenue at 44th Drive. A new café is coming to the space next to Da Gianni’s Ristorante on 44th Drive just west of 21st Street. A Duane Reade is possibly opening at 2 Court Square, while Natural Frontier Market is opening a new location at 12-01 Jackson Avenue. Guitart & Jones restaurant is slated to start serving American tapas at 5-09 50th Avenue, between Vernon Boulevard and Jackson Avenue. Testaccio, will be having its grand opening today at 47-30 Vernon Boulevard. Primp and Tease salon will arrive at 5-04 50th Avenue. El Ay Si will open at 47-38 Vernon Boulevard by the end of the month and Doggy Day Spa is coming to the retail space in the ground floor of Avalon Riverview North at 4-75 48th Avenue.
