Openings and closings: Mikey’s Burger opens, Anselmo’s Coal Oven Pizzeria closes … and more

In Tribeca, Indian restaurant Tamarind Tribeca is slated to open at 99 Hudson Street at Franklin Street.

On the Lower East Side, Michael Huynh’s new burger joint, Mikey’s Burger, is expected to open tonight at 134 Ludlow Street.

In the Koreatown, Japanese spot HaruHana is coming to 28 West 32nd Street between Fifth Avenue and Broadway.
On the Upper East Side, after shuttering its permanent location at 802 Madison Avenue and 68th Street, clothing retailer Issey Miyake will open a pop-up shop a few doors down at 807 Madison Avenue.

In Brooklyn, Poppa’s Place will open in the former Red Bamboo space at 271 Adelphi Street at DeKalb Avenue in Fort Greene.  Also in  that neighborhood, EN Restaurant will open soon in the former Tommy’s French Dry Cleaners space at the corner of Lafayette Avenue and Cumberland Street. A live music venue called Way Station has opened at 83 Washington Avenue between Prospect Place and St. Marks Avenue in Prospect Heights.

Amid these openings, there have been some closings. In Brooklyn, Anselmo’s Coal Oven Pizzeria has shuttered at 354 Van Brunt Street after a landlord dispute. And, Bagel Stop has shuttered at 424 Sheepshead Bay Road in Sheepshead Bay.
