Praxis Housing Initiatives, a company focused on providing housing for the chronically homeless, has just purchased a 20,000-square-foot lot at 4339 White Plains Road in the Bronx for $1.26 million, according to commercial real estate services firm NAI Friedland Realty, which brokered the deal. Praxis plans to construct a $20 million, 40,000-square-foot building at the site for the special-needs homeless population, including those with HIV/AIDS, mental health issues and chemical dependency.
