Openings and closings: Fultummy’s opens, Atomic Passion closes … and more

In Harlem, a new eatery Chocolat has opened at 2217 Eighth Avenue near the corner of 120th Street. Doug E.’s Fresh Chicken and Waffles, meanwhile, plans to open by summer at 2245 Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard on the corner of 132nd Street.

Macaron Cafe is opening a new location on 59th Street between Madison and Park avenues. The Tri Tip Grill is opening in Midtown at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

In the East Village, the Lounge at Dixon Place has opened at 161a Chrystie Street between Rivington and Delancey streets. Pa-Plern Thai eatery is opening at 6 Clinton Avenue near the corner of East Houston Street. South Brooklyn Pizza is opening up in the East Village as well, at 122 First Avenue Between 7th Street and St. Marks Place.

In the West Village, after shuttering last year due to a kitchen fire, Annisa is reopening at 13 Barrow Street near the corner of West 4th Street.

French designer Isabel Marant has opened a Soho boutique at 55 Greene Street on the corner of Broome Street.

The Olde Brooklyn Bagel Shop is opening in Prospect Heights at 603 Vanderbilt Avenue. Fultummy’s sandwich shop has opened at 221 Columbia Street in Carroll Gardens. A new Chinese take-out restaurant is opening on Fourth Avenue between Dean and Bergen streets in Downtown Brooklyn. In Prospect Lefferts Gardens, a new bike shop is opening at 56 Lincoln Road. The owners of the Farmer’s Diner are reportedly in talks to lease space at 552 Flatbush Avenue, also in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. JB’s Burger has opened at 225 Smith Street on the corner of Butler Street in Boerum Hill, offering up four types of burgers and a handful of French food options. Butternut Market is opening at 301 Stuyvesant Avenue between Halsey and Hancock streets. A new eatery called St. Anselm is opening at 355 Metropolitan Avenue near the corner of Havemeyer Street in Williamsburg. Also in Williamsburg, boutique clothing store Jane’s Closet has gone from pop-up to permanent at 60 North 6th Street between Wythe and Kent avenues.

Amid these openings, there were a couple of closings.

Satya Home, a furnishings store, is closing in the West Village at 330 Bleecker Street between Christopher and West 10th streets. Atomic Passion vintage clothing boutique has closed at 430 East 9th Street between First Avenue and Avenue A in the East Village after 17 years. The Market Hotel music hall has been shuttered as 1142 Myrtle Avenue in Bushwick for allegedly operating without a license. West Village Italian eatery La Focaccia has closed at 51 Bank Street on the corner of West 4th Street.
