No edge, all-frat on Avenue B?

Avenue B in the East Village is turning into “frat row” — so say neighborhood advocates who are riled over the raucous watering holes that have opened on the once-edgy avenue. While Le Souk, a two-floor hookah bar, recently moved out of the area from its home at 47 Avenue B near the corner of East 4th Street, community board members say that the unsavory tenants keep piling up. They say one such offender is Hurricane Billy’s, which plans to open soon at 25 Avenue B between 2nd and 3rd streets, and advertises it’s “hot staff and cold drinks” on its parent company’s Web site, much to the chagrin of East Village old timers.
