Openings and closings: David Yurman opens, Tah-Poozie closes … and more

A meatball street cart has opened on 58th Street between Second and Third avenues.
A Heartland Brewery has opened in the Port Authority, according to Midtown Lunch. Pizza by Cer Te has opened at 132 East 56th Street between Park and Lexington avenues. A new coffee shop called B Koffie has opened at 370 West 51st Street on the corner of Ninth Avenue. Argo Tea will
be bringing teas to 1792 Broadway near 58th Street. There were
grumblings about a Grom gelato shop opening near Columbus Circle.

In Chelsea, denim line Rufskin has opened a pop-up shop at 300 West 22nd Street on the corner of Eighth Avenue. After a health department shuttering, La Nacional has reopened at 239 West 14th Street near Eighth Avenue. The Conran Shop, a housewares store, has opened at 888 Broadway on the corner of 19th Street.
In the East Village, an as-of-yet-unknown eatery is moving into the former home of the Cookout Grill on the corner of First Avenue and 13th Street.
The Pinkyotto boutique chain is opening at 330 Bleecker Street near the corner of Christopher Street. A men’s sportswear store, the Freemans Sporting Club, is opening at 327 Bleecker Street on the corner of Christopher Street.
Meatpacking bar and restaurant Abe and Arthur’s has announced plans to open three new locations in the city on the East Side, in Midtown, and on the West Side. No word yet on the new branches’ addresses.
Vegetarian eatery Otarian has opened at 154 Bleecker Street near the corner of Thompson Street, with plans to open on the southwest corner of 56th Street and Eighth Avenue soon. Nightspot 200 Orchard has reopened as “200,” and will now serve food and drinks at 200 Orchard Street near the corner of Houston Street. Ellen boutique, which closed a few weeks ago at 122 Ludlow Street, between Rivington and Delancey streets, has reopened. The Rewind lounge has been replaced by Foundation at 137 Essex Street between Stanton and Rivington streets, but some patrons have already complained that bouncer brutality runs rampant at the spot, according to Bowery Boogie. A Mediterranean restaurant called Beba has opened at 71 Spring Street near Crosby Street. The Obey clothing line has opened a pop-up shop at 151 Orchard Street between Stanton and Rivington streets. Bowery Boogie brings word that Swimwear and lingerie shop Luscious NYC has opened at 4 Prince Street on the corner of the Bowery and that, a few doors down, a hat shop called Block Headwear has opened at 10 Prince Street. A new rum bar called Cocteleria is opening at 5 Avenue A near the corner of 6th Street.
The opening day for the Financial District’s new Chipotle location at 101 Fulton Street on the corner of William Street has been delayed. A new doggy hotel and day spa called the Fetch Club is opening at 85 South Street between Fletcher and John streets.
After a staff-wide walkout, Gorilla Coffee has reopened in Park Slope at 97 Fifth Avenue near the corner of Park Place. Also in Park Slope, a small plates eatery called Kitchen Reis has opened at 375b Fifth Avenue. In Clinton Hill, Hot Bird lounge has relaunched on the corner of Atlantic and Clinton avenues. Also in Clinton Hill, a new bar called Buka has opened at 946 Fulton Street. A new 24-hour restaurant, the Parkview Diner, has opened at 2939 Cropsey Avenue on Coney Island. A new bar called GoodCo. is opening in Williamsburg at 10 Hope Street. Also in Williamsburg, the Counting Room, a bar and small plates eatery, has opened at 44 Berry Street. An open air market known as the Red Hook Mercardo has launched, featuring music, crafts and food vendors. Brooklyn Bread, a new cafe, has opened on the Coney Island Boardwalk. An as-of-yet unnamed upscale supermarket is opening on the ground floor of the Toren condo building at 150 Myrtle Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn. The Layercake Lounge is opening at 227 Rogers Avenue in Crown Heights.
In Queens, liQcity brings word of several new openings in Long Island City. Park Home Furnishings has opened at 11-12 44th Drive, Underpenny antiques store has opened at 10-13 50th Avenue, the fLo rE sta flower shop, and a sports center for children called L.I.C.K.S. has opened on the corner of 47th Avenue and Center Boulevard. Among the impending openings in the neighborhood are a Dunkin’ Donuts franchise at 2302 Jackson Avenue, Toast Cafe at 44-02 21st Street, and a cell phone store at 5-43 48th Avenue.
Amid these openings, there were some closings.
Tah-Poozie toy and novelty shop has closed at 50 Greenwich Avenue between Perry and Charles streets after 23 years in business.
The Blue Ribbon Bakery has been shuttered by the Department of Health at 35 Downing Street on the corner of Bedford Street. Superdive is leaving its East Village location at 200 Avenue A near the corner of 13th Street after just 10 months. Boutique shop Plum has shuttered at 124 Ludlow Street near the corner of Rivington Street. Parasuco has shuttered its only U.S. location at 60 Spring Street on the corner of Lafayette Street.
The Metro Cafe & Winebar has closed at 32 East 21st Street between Broadway and Park Avenue South. A deli called Torino has closed on 56th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues. The Leather Zone shop at 122 Orchard Street between Delancey and Rivington streets has closed. Vintage clothing store Marmalade is closing its doors at 172 Ludlow Street between East Houston and Stanton streets after 12 years of business. Sheepshead Bites brings word that Tai Yuan eatery at 2224 Avenue U in Sheepshead Bay may be closing.
