Investor Carl Icahn and lender Beal Bank have filed an appeal to a bankruptcy court ruling that granted Donald Trump, daughter Ivanka Trump and associated bondholders control of three Trump casinos in Atlantic City, according to the Associated Press. Icahn claims that the court made mistakes when it decided to grant control to the Trump camp, noting that his proposal — to exchange his $486 million mortgage on the company for hotel control — is more lucrative than the Trumps’ $225 million offer. Icahn also claims that the court agreed during proceedings that his plan was superior to the Trumps’. No word yet on when the next court date will occur. [AP via Crain’s]
