Miraval Living pledges donation to Yankees slugger, resident

The Upper East Side’s Miraval Living condominium has launched a charity
program tied to one of its most famous residents, Yankees player Curtis
Granderson, according to a spokesperson for the 39-story condo
conversion at 515 East 72nd Street near York Avenue. For every homerun
the slugger hits, starting Aug. 1, the building has pledged to donate
$1,000 to the Curtis Granderson Grand Kid Foundation, the ballplayer’s
charitable group that promotes education and athletics for inner city
kids. All the funds donated to the Yankees centerfielder’s foundation
during this charitable promotion will go toward buying school supplies
for needy families and supporting scholarship opportunities.
Granderson, however, is not the only high-profile resident at Miraval
Living — on June 15, the Bravo channel premiered “Double Exposure,”
which chronicles two celebrity photographers while living in the condo
building. The 365-unit building is being marketed by the Corcoran
Sunshine Marketing Group. TRD
