One Lincoln Plaza
The condominium board at the Upper West Side’s Posh One Lincoln Plaza is set to vote this evening on a new set of rules that would ban dogs from its main passenger elevators and Rottweilers, Doberman pinschers and pit bulls from the building altogether, the Daily News reported. Under the proposed regulations, which supporters say are intended to protect the elderly and promote hygiene, dogs living at the 671-unit apartment complex would also have to wear ID tags at all times, and owners who refuse to cooperate would face $250 fines. Any existing canine residents who belong to one of the three banned breeds would be grandfathered in and allowed to remain, but they’d still need to use the service elevators. [NYDN]
