A home has hit the market for an unheard of $39,900 in the West Village, according to the Wall Street Journal. The low-cost, 320-square-foot home was built by MEKA Luxury Modular Homes in just five days; unfortunately for neighborhood lovers, however, its prime address is temporary and the home will leave its site on the corner of Washington and Charles streets by December. Just 10 of the homes have sold in the U.S. and Canada so far, but MEKA is optimistic that the luxury units can catch on among interested buyers in New York City. [WSJ]
