“Black Friday” welcomes first NYC Converse specialty store

Canvas sneaker giant Converse is set to open a specialty store in Soho in two days, the company announced today. The store, to be located at 560 Broadway on the corner of Prince Street, will offer the largest selection of Converse shoes available anywhere. This location will be the second specialty retail store that Converse has opened — the company recently unveiled its first-ever boutique in Boston. Converse selected Soho for its New York City store because the neighborhood jives with its “independent spirit,” the shoemaker said in a release. TRD
