Chelsea’s Joyce Theater is leaving its 175 Eighth Avenue home when the low-cost lease there expires in 2016, and the company is on the hunt for a 30,000-square-foot space to replace it, according to the Post. Among the possible locations are yet-to-be-constructed buildings in Hudson Yards and Chelsea, said Joyce broker Paul Wolf, of Denham Wolf. “They are looking to own and either buy a building outright or purchase a condo in the base of a new tower,” Wolf said. It won’t be the only new performance space for the Joyce, which will also have a 1,000-seat theater in the performing arts center being developed at the World Trade Center. [Post, 2nd item]
