Charles Buck, who was acquitted of murdering his late wife, Leslie, in December, has sold his Mystic, Conn. home for $415,000 to his attorneys, Hubert Santos and Hope Seeley, according to Connecticut news site the Day. Buck told police that he discovered his wife dead in the 2,110-square-foot home at 77 Masons Island Road May 2002, after returning from work at the couple’s other property, located at 126 Elm Street in Stonington, Conn. The closing price is roughly half of its value, as appraised in September, when Buck used the property as collateral to stay out of jail before the trial. Buck, who now faces a civil trial and a suit from his late wife’s estate, did not comment on the sale. It was not immediately clear what motivated the sale. [The Day]
