The coworking trend is taking hold in the freelancer-heavy Greenpoint, with a new shared office space opening in a ground-floor space at 240 Norman Avenue on the corner of N. Henry Street. The venture, called Greenpoint CoWorking, is asking $25 per day or $350 per month for a seat in the office, which has a long desk, floor-to-ceiling windows, bean bag chairs and a chalkboard — meant to foster the creativity and community that’s propelled coworking to its current level of popularity in the city. Other examples include the Hive at 55, environmental business incubator Green Spaces, and East Williamsburg’s 3rd Ward. [Brooklyn Paper]
