Andrey and Aleksandra Melnichenko and their new 110 Central Park South penthouse
Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko and his wife, Aleksandra, have purchased a $12.2 million pied-à-terre atop 110 Central Park South, the Wall Street Journal reported. The two-bedroom penthouse, a 2,800-square-foot spread with 24-foot-ceilings and views of Central Park from every room, is the first Manhattan home for the young couple (Melnichenko, who is worth an estimated $4.4 billion, is only 38 years old; Aleksandra, a former model, is 33), but hardly their only address. The Melnichenkos have residences in Moscow, France and the U.K. in addition to a $300 million, Phillipe Starck-designed yacht, dubbed “A.” Royce Pinkwater of Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing for their newest pad, which was originally asking $14.95 million.
