Former NBC “Nightly News” anchor Tom Brokaw’s 10-room 941 Park Avenue apartment sold for $10 million, according to records made public yesterday. The asking price of the three-bedroom duplex was last listed for $10.75 million.

The buyers were well-known author, journalist and former “60 Minutes” associate producer Abigail Pogrebin and her husband David Shapiro, a co-founder of private equity management firm KPS Capital Partners. The sale closed May 25.

The apartment has its own private elevator, a library and formal dining room. It was originally listed for $12 million in June 2010 and hit the market again this January with a $10.75 million price tag.

Cathy Franklin and Alexis Bodenheimer of Brown Harris Stevens marketed the listing. Both agents declined to comment.

As for the Brokaws, they’re remaining on the East Side; it was recently reported that Brokaw, who serves as a special correspondent for NBC News and works on documentaries for other outlets, had purchased a two-bedroom co-op at 33 East 79th Street for $1.95 million.
