While basketball fans will be greeted by some of the best site lines of any American arena, from the looks of interior renderings of the forthcoming Barclays Center released yesterday by Nets officials, those who aren’t keen on the game will enjoy some impressive sites of their own, the New York Post reported.

The arena, set to open at the Atlantic Yards in September 2012, will feature a grand atrium, wide concourses with views of a practice court and several unique lounges and bars. The Legends Lounge, for example, is a two-sided bar with views onto the court, and Beers of the World, will be a reclaimed wood-accented bar with a wall made of beer bottle caps. There’s also a special club for premium ticket-holders that provides views of performers walking to And From The Court.

The interior will use brown and gray colored lighting to achieve a “Brooklyn feel,” Christopher Sharples, co-founder of the stadium’s designers, SHoP Architects, said.

Meanwhile, because it was designed specifically for basketball, and won’t include hockey as most other American stadiums do, even fans in the cheap seats will get relatively good views of the Nets. The architects revealed renderings of The Actual Basketball Court and seating bowl last year. [Post]
