Priciest, cheapest units to hit the market

The priciest Manhattan listing to hit the market this week is a four-bedroom penthouse condominium unit at 15 Central Park West, listed with Kyle Blackmon of Brown Harris Stevens for a massive $88 million. As previously reported, the apartment is owned by former Citigroup chairman and CEO Sanford Weill, who purchased the 6,744-square-foot unit in 2007 for $43.7 million. Weill has said he will donate the proceeds of the sale to charity.

The second priciest listing to come online this week is an eight-bedroom co-op unit at 740 Park Avenue, asking $60 million. The apartment, owned by the Courtney Sale Ross, the widow of late Time Warner CEO Steve Ross, is a combination of two units and is listed with Kathy Sloane of Brown Harris Stevens.

The third most expensive listing is a six-story, single-family carriage house at 178 East 75th Street that’s listed with Caroline Grane of Nestseekers for $19 million. The 6,000-square-foot, five-bedroom property has a three-car garage and elevator to every floor. The home was built in 1903 and is one of only 75 similar properties remaining in the city, according to the listing.

The least expensive Manhattan home to hit the market this week is a studio unit at 1834 Second Avenue in Yorkville. The co-op apartment, the sale of which is restricted to buyers with a maximum annual income of $30,000, is listed with Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Barbara Gruson and Michael Baril for $99,000.

The second least expensive listing is a studio apartment in a co-op building at 457 West 57th Street. The unit is listed with Jude Dayani of Orsid Realty for $175,000.

The third cheapest listing this week is a 500-square-foot co-op unit at 80 Saint Nicholas Avenue in Central Harlem, asking $180,000. The recently renovated unit is listed with Beata Storozynski of New York Property Network. –– Katherine Clarke
