Boutique hotel slated to come to Bushwick

The boutique hotel trend is spreading all the way to Bushwick. DNAinfo reported that designer Richard Guishard, of the closed Morgan Restaurant and Morgan Room, and business partner Andy Chau broke ground this week, at 19 Bogart Street, to erect a five-story, 63-room hotel. They yet-to-be named hotel is projected to open in 18 months and is slated to include four retail shops on its ground floor.

The hotel will be located around the corner from the New York Loft Hostel, but the new structure will cater to a more mature crowd. The hotel’s room prices have not yet been determined. Neighborhood residents told DNAinfo that they worry about around-the-clock noise from construction, as well as noise from parties once the hotel opens.
