Today brought big news in the Brooklyn townhouse market with some big, even record-breaking sales. A Greenpoint townhouse located at 87a Guernsey Street sold for $2.25 million, which marks the neighborhood’s most expensive residential sale, Brownstoner reported this morning. A record came close in Fort Greene, as city records released yesterday revealed a townhouse located at 152 Lafayette Avenue traded for $3.1 million — just shy of the record $3.28 million, which was achieved at 181 Washington Park this spring. And though not a record-breaker, the Park Slope townhouse featured in the movie “The Squid and the Whale” traded for $3.45 million, which was the property’s asking price. The Real Deal checked out Streeteasy data on the Brooklyn townhouse market, and compiled this slideshow of the 10 priciest single-family townhouses currently on the market.
